The service

Teranga Story is an app of personalized picture books for children aged 3 to 8, on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. The parent chooses the hero’s name and look, and the app tells the story in English, French or both.

Your account

• an account is optional and for adults only;
• use an email address that belongs to you and keep access to your device safe;
• don’t use the service for anything unlawful or try to access another account’s data.

Cd Corp may suspend an account used fraudulently or against these terms.

Free and paid stories

One story is free, and the first pages of every other story can be read for free. The other stories are available through a subscription or an in-app purchase.

Prices are those shown in the app and by the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase, including taxes. They may vary from country to country.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases in the iOS app are billed and managed by Apple; purchases on Android by Google Play.

• the price, length and currency are shown before you confirm;
• a subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before;
• you cancel it in your Apple or Google Play account settings;
• deleting the app or your Teranga Story account does not cancel the subscription;
• refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s rules.

Right of withdrawal

Stories are digital content delivered as soon as you buy them. By confirming a purchase, you ask for immediate access and give up the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies in the European Union. You can still ask Apple or Google for a refund under their rules.

Using your books

Your books are for private, family use: read them, show them and share them with your loved ones. Reselling them, publishing them or using them commercially requires our written permission.

What you enter

You are responsible for the names and dedications you enter. They must not infringe anyone’s rights or contain offensive language.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the service available and safe, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Books you have already opened stay readable offline.

To the extent allowed by law, Cd Corp is not liable for indirect damage arising from use of the service.

Personal data

How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy. You can delete your account at any time.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date; a purchase remains governed by the version accepted at the time.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If anything goes wrong, please email us first at bonjour@terangastory.com: we always look for a friendly solution. Otherwise, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
